  5. Thanks for the reply.

  7. I will send one out tomorrow. Thanks for visiting this site. If you have any questions about this Church please e-mail me at uft36 at yahoo dot com. I look forward to hearing from you soon.

  8. Thank you for all you are doing. I appreciate the pdf format of the Book of Mormon. I will try to pass it along. I too am trying to express my joy in the gospel. Please visit http://www.itsagoodday.org. Here we screen every video so as to provide a safe clean place for families and children to go. Often, we have been call a PG youtube. Anyway I thought I would let you know.

  9. Thanks for the compliment. I checked out your site. Great idea! You can either link to this site or to the Book of Mormon download link on your site, if you want.

I put the Book of Mormon on my ipod a while ago. Works great! I appreciate what you are doing.

  11. Margaret said:

PS- I also liked the crossword puzzle :o)

  12. Thanks. You are the first one I have heard of that put one on an ipod. Thanks, again, for the compliment.

Thank you so much for this. I use the .exe file and it works amazing. I love it because I’m on the computer a lot, and I’m tempted to just play games, but now I have this. I know it’s nearly 2am in the morning, but I just prayed and I thank you for making something like this! It’s great!

  14. Kyle Leighton said:

Can I get the rest of the standard works in the same .exe format, or is only the BoM available?

  15. I have an LDS Library in executable. It has pictures, ensigns up to 2000, times and seasons, etc. It is 42 mb in size. I haven’t updated it since I first worked on it 2 years ago but the e-mail address is still valid. I haven’t checked the other links in a while. I did this project before I started this blog so make sure you bookmark this site for future reference. I can put one together without the pictures if you need a smaller size file. As far as I know all the links should work. You will need a picture viewer for the pictures. Let me know what you think. I added the link above on the last line.

  16. Kyle Leighton said:

THANKS!! That’s more than I was even hoping for! Great job, very usefull! I really appreciate all the effort you must have put into this.

  17. Jonathan O'Toole said:

Thank you so much for your time and effort. If you choose to try to update this at some point and feel that you could use some assistance, please feel free to email me at the attached address. I would be glad to donate my time.

  18. Are you planning on creating a pdf of the standard works with footnotes, or is there a copyright issue? Is there a pdf of the Old and New Testaments available?

  19. Not at this time to both questions. I have a very busy schedule right now but if you or someone you know would like to do this as a project just let me know. I am not sure about footnotes being copyrighted but it might fall under fair use or non-commercial purposes.

  20. Im am trying to download the bookofmormon.html but it wont work. It says is under maintenance. It would be nice if i can get it soon. Thanks.

  21. Thank you for pointing this out. Have you tried again? It could be that the WordPress was under maintenance at the time. I will be sure to let uft36 know about this problem, and he can check on it.

  22. I just tried to open the html file on this library computer and it works fine. If you have problems downloading from adrive try the xthost site. You can find the link at the top of this page. Just click on the picture and it will open the page. If you use explorer just go to file at the top of the browser and save as a web page.

  23. I was just looking for an audio book of mormon in German. Do you know where I can find that? I don’t mind purchasing it in the least. Thanks

  24. Not sure yet where to find one,Kevin. I will look into it.

  25. I tried putting the Book of Mormon on my ipod, but it put it in alphabetical order and that’s the way it plays. Any ideas or help?

  26. Dean, if you number the files, then you can get them ordered correctly. For example, when I saved the Book of Mormon, I named the files 01-Introduction, 02-1Nephi, 03-2Nephi, etc. In this way, I was able to have them ordered correctly.
    Hope this helps.

  27. Is there any way we can get the KJV of the Bible as a part of the Standard Works in PDF format as well? And maybe even with the footnotes along with it?

  28. The KJV Bible is available on http://www.lds.org. Also, you can get it on CD through the Church. At this point I have no plans to create a Word or PDF file of the Bible.

  29. Does anyone know how to get the complete standard works in text for the ipod? I have a 30 gb video ipod. I found a cd online I can buy but I was wondering if there is a place I can download it. Thank you.

  30. I believe you can get this at
There are free downloads for various handheld devices. The Church website is a great resource.

  33. Hi, Stephanie! Sorry didn’t get back to you sooner. Try downloading here for a PDF version for your ipod.

  34. Hi! I’m looking for the Book of Mormon Audio in French, somebody knows where can I get it. Thanx in advance

  35. Oh ! sweet . I found a comment of Bryan that has helped me. I repeat this link for the french audio of the BoM.

    Thanx a lot!

  36. Ed Sharpe said:

When will Book of Mormon be available in audio in Portuguese? It will add another dimension to learning the language.

  37. We have no idea when the Book of Mormon will be available in audio format in Portuguese, Ed. The Church does not make these announcements until it has happened. We find out when the world finds out. Keep watching the Church website (www.lds.org), and it will happen.

  38. Today I just discovered that the Church website now has the Book of Mormon in Korean! This is progress, don’t you think? I think that the new language is Korean. It’s not Japanese, I checked that.

  39. Bernadette said:

Thank you for providing the Book of Mormon .pdf. I find it awkward to carry my large-print quad back and forth to work, and this allows me to read the BoM on my breaks and lunchtime, and adjust the size on the screen so that I’m not squinting. 🙂

I’ll have to check out the mp3 version soon too!

  40. Love the concept of your efforts. I am not much of a techy, but would like all the standard work on my storm 9530. Can you let me know how with the ease of use too? Thanks

  41. Great service – I have been looking for the BoM in pdf. I am also looking for D&C and Pearl of Great Price in pdf.

If you know a place I could download such pdf’s I’d be very grateful. I am exploring the LDS faith (with the help of good LDS friends & will be taking some classes from some missionaries soon.)

Thanks for making the BoM available in this format
(my browser is acting up – my apologies if this posts more than once.)

  42. Sorry for the repost – I found what I was looking for on your site. Thanks again for making all these available

    • William, it’s great that you are talking about the Church with good friends, and you’ll love taking the lessons from the missionaries! I love all the missionaries, and support their efforts to find those who wish to learn.

If you have any questions, and want another opinion on what you are reading, just post it here and we’ll be happy to answer any and all questions. Uft36 and I are doing this as a missionary effort, because we love the Gospel and love the Book of Mormon, and want to share it with anyone and everyone who wants to read it.

I’m glad you found this website. You can read my conversion story on my website, if you are interested.

  43. i just downloaded the pdf file of the Book of mormon. i just want to ask if there’s a jar format or any format for mobile? i am currently working here in Saudi Arabia and the only scripture i have is the jar format of the Bible (King James Version).
Hope you can help me here.
    Thanks in advace!!!

  44. I don’t have any mobile device so I can’t make and test any mobile formats. Would an HTML file work better for you? Less memory. Go to

I will look around sometime for a mobile format that I can try out and maybe someone can test it for others to use.

  45. Thank you so much for the info. I work alot on the pc, so using this in PDF format is the start to me getting my life back on track. For the past few years I have kind of “rebelled” if you want to call it that, even though i bore my testimony many times of the LDS chuch, and my religious aspects.

I believe that I came across this website for a reason. I hope that my faith, and repentance will get me back on track so that I will be better off in future. Thank you for the wonderful website, and information.

If you need any help at all, please do not hesitate to let me know. I am a website designer, and Graphic Designer by profession, and wouldn’t mind lending a hand to a fellow member.

can someone please let me know where i can download a version of the book or even the triple version for windows mobile phone? I have an HD2 phone. My e-mail is:joey_blade@yahoo.com

    • Joey, have you checked on the Church website to see if they have a version compatible with your phone? They have downloads for most handheld devices. Just go to http://www.lds.org and click on Gospel Library, then click on Media Formats, then Handheld (PDA), and you will get a list of what choices of device you have. I don’t know what software your device uses, but it may be one of the choices available.

  48. The address for the Toulouse Mission Presidents site with the French Book of Mormon mp3s is:

These files were copied from old cassette tapes and are good quality but are from an older translation.

Thank you so much Brian! This is great!

  49. can i get a free copy of the Book of Mormon in Romania and other mormon literature? at:

    Puicar Daniel Lucian
adress: str. Castanilor nr.1 bl. V30 ap. 16
    location: Jibou
    province: Salaj
    ZIP CODE: 455200

    • Dani, we are pleased that you would like a free copy of the Book of Mormon in Romanian. We do not have that language available on this website, but you can contact the mission and they will be happy to get you a copy of the Book of Mormon.

You can contact the mission at

      Romania Bucharest Mission
Sos. Pipera Nr. 41 et. 7
      Sector 2
      COD 014254
      Bucharest, Romania

    • Dani, I am sorry if I misunderstood what you were asking. Were you asking if the Book of Mormon and other LDS literature was available in the country of Romania? If that is your question, again, you can ask for any LDS literature at the Mission offices. They could help you to obtain LDS literature. Or, you could ask at the local LDS meetinghouse. We cannot send you literature through the mail. What we have on this website is available as free downloads. Another website that has LDS literature available is http://www.cumorah.com . I hope that I have been of help this time.

  50. I think this website is a great thing, thank you very much for it. I was looking for a PDF copy of the Book of Mormon or something that I could do searhes on.

I am writing from the Family History Library in Salt Lake City, and sadly the downloads are blocked by the LDS church internet filter.

.. if you think I am misleading you, go to your nearest Family History Center and try and download it.

    • Alan, the downloads are available on this website. You need to use a computer that does not block downloads. If you have a home computer, you could download the PDF file easily and save it to your harddrive. If you don’t have a home computer, then you may need to visit your local library or an internet cafe, where you could download the file and save it to a CD or flashdrive. Of course, you have to have a computer to use the file, either way.

  51. I just installed this on my Sony e-reader. It works a LOT better than the one on the church website . . . . just wish the footnotes were included!!! Oh, Well . . . . I’m happy anyways!

  52. Terrence Ngametua said:

Where do you find the download link (free download) for the mobile vodafone 845 for downloading LDS scripture onto my mobile phone

  53. Terrence, we don’t have the formats for cellphones here. Have you checked at http://www.lds.org? They have many formats for cellphones and handheld devices. Our formats are for computers. Since Utf and I don’t possess the types of cellphones that hold books and such, we don’t have the software to create such files.

It took me a while, and a variety of searches to find the gospel library for mobile devices. It’s not easy to find! You have to know it’s there before you can find it. Go to http://lds.org/pages/mobile-apps?lang=eng and you will find what is available for mobile devices.

    I hope that this helps.

I saved your hmtl Book of Mormon file as a word document so that I can make my own notes in my own format in the flexibility of word. This is working great! Thanks so much! Do you, by chance, have plans to create an html or word version of the D&C and Pearl of Great Price? Thanks again!

  55. Nate, We do have the D&C/Pearl of Great Price available in Word, and we have the Book of Mormon in Word, as well. They can be obtained through my website: http://nymormon.me .

  56. Hey im working on my duty to god merritbadge and i would like to download the book of mormon and the holy bible to my psp do any of you know how i could do that fast and simply because im only 13

  57. if anyone knows or is looking for a way thanks but sorry if i cant thank you later im going to sleep

  58. Dayvid, you need to ask your parents to help you. You should never download any files without your parents’ permission.

I have no idea how to download any files to a PSP, since I don’t own one. I am guessing that you need to download the files to a computer, and then you might hook your PSP to your computer through a USB cable, and then transfer the file to the PSP. I am sure your parents know how to do this.

  59. Am i legally responsible for content on my blogs & forums that others have written?

    • I do not know if you are responsible, to find out for certain you would have to consult an attorney that specializes in internet law. I would suggest that you add a disclaimer that you are not responsible for what other people contribute.

  60. Bad science fiction that doesn’t match real history at all. How could you be so dishonest.

    • Chris, I am very sorry that you feel that you must disparage the beliefs of well over 10 million people. Religion is not science fiction, it is fact. We, as members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, are very honest people, and we love sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ with one and all. You do not have to believe as we do, but you should respect our beliefs, the same way that we respect yours.

Please open your mind and heart to learn of the beliefs of other people. By learning of their beliefs, you better understand people

  61. thank you so much for this usefull and nice project,,

  65. Neo Pascalinah Mohai, if you downloaded the file to your cellphone, it is there somewhere. Unfortunately, we can’t tell you where to look since we don’t have your phone to look at. You should take your phone to the cellphone store where you purchased it and ask them to help you locate the file.

What does it mean in nephi 2 verses 26-28 the curse of my skin shall be lifted?

    • Mike, you do not say which book or chapter these verses are in, so I had to try doing a search to find them. I didn’t find these verses in particular, but did find in 2 Nephi 5:21 it states:

21 And he had caused the cursing to come upon them, yea, even a sore cursing, because of their iniquity. For behold, they had hardened their hearts against him, that they had become like unto a flint; wherefore, as they were white, and exceedingly fair and delightsome, that they might not be enticing unto my people the Lord God did cause a skin of blackness to come upon them.

From reading this seems to explain what you are asking about. One commentary I have states:

“The “mark of the curse” of the Lamanites

“The mark of the curse that came upon the Lamanites was that “a skin of blackness” came upon them. A major purpose of this mark was that the Lamanites “might not be enticing” unto the Nephites. (2 Nephi 5:21.) The Lord stated further that the “seed of him that mixeth” with the unrighteous Lamanites “shall be cursed even with the same cursing.” (2 Nephi 5:23.)

“This is the only reference in the entire Book of Mormon where a definite color adjective is used to refer to this mark. All other references call it, a “skin of darkness” or a “dark skin.” It is of interest to note that the terms “blackness” and “darkness” are interchangeable in the Hebrew. Even in modern Hebrew it is not unusual for some skilled translator to render a word black whereas other equally skilled translators select dark as the best translation.”

I hope that this helps to explain the “curse of my skin.”

  71. This its great I am learning English lenguage and its a big help The Book of Mormon to learn I hope I can finish to read… thank you!!!

  72. Heya! I know this is somewhat off-topic but
I had to ask. Does managing a well-established
blog like yours take a lot of work? I am completely new to running a blog but I do write in my diary on a daily basis.
I’d like to start a blog so I will be able to share my own experience and thoughts online. Please let me know if you have any recommendations or tips for new aspiring blog owners. Thankyou!

    • This isn’t my site, but I help with it. I don’t do blogs, and have never even seen one, so I cannot tell you how much time they take. Uft36 owns this site, and would be better able to tell you how much time it takes him to keep up. I have my own website, and I spent a few hours each week on it. At the end of the year I spend a bit more time, since I update everything.

  73. I like to read on my mobile phone
